The Boeing B-29 Super fortress is a four-engine propeller-driven heavy bomber designed by Boeing and was flown primarily by the United States during World War II and the Korean War. Seventy years ago, a Silver-plate-modified B-29 Super fortress flew over the city of Hiroshima and dropped the world’s first operationally-deployed atomic bomb.
