Detailed 1/72 scale assembly model kit of the Bell UH-1N, a variant of the legendary UH-1 Iroquois helicopter, commonly known as the “Huey”. Introduced in 1959, the UH-1 Huey became one of the most successful helicopters ever produced, with some 16,000 UH-1s of all variants rolling out of production lines since its introduction in the late 50’s. The venerable Huey helicopters saw significant service during the Vietnam War, and the sight of Hueys flying over the lush green jungle terrains of Vietnam was to become a lasting icon of the U.S. involvement in Southeast Asia. Many Hueys are still flying today, a testament to the type’s rugged reliability and adaptability. This Italeri 1/72 scale assembly kit features the UH-1N Twin Huey, which is powered by a PT6T-3/T400 Turbo Twin Pac made up of two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 turboshaft power turbines driving a single output shaft. The UH-IN can be configured to carry personnel or cargo. In personnel transport configuration, the UH-1N is configured with fifteen seats, for one pilot and fourteen passengers. In cargo configuration, the UH-1N has an internal capacity of 220 square feet. This model kit includes markings for three different UH-1N Twin Huey versions: U.S. NAVY version, Australian Air Force version, and British Army version.
