Detailed 1/72 scale assembly model kit of the Bell UH-1H, a variant of the legendary UH-1 Iroquois multipurpose utility helicopter, commonly known as the “Huey”. Introduced in 1959, the UH-1 Huey became one of the most successful helicopters ever produced, with some 16,000 UH-1s of all variants rolling out of production lines since its introduction in the late 50’s. The venerable Huey helicopters saw significant combat action during the Vietnam War, and the sight of Hueys flying over the lush green jungle terrains of Vietnam was to become an enduring image of the U.S. involvement in Southeast Asia. Many Hueys are still flying today, a testament to the type’s rugged reliability and adaptability. This Hasegawa 1/72 scale assembly kit features the UH-1H variant, an improved UH-1D with a Lycoming T-53-L-13 engine of 1,400 shp. This kit comes with decals for U.S. Army and Japanese Ground Self Defense Force (J.G.S.D.F.) versions.
